Protestors stay on the streets in Ukraine despite snow. Plus South Africans queue in the hope of getting a seat at the memorial service for Nelson Mandela.
Thousands remain on the streets of Ukraine, protesting about the decision by the government of President Yanukovich not to sign a treaty which would have meant closer integration with the EU. South Africans camp overnight outside the stadium in Soweto where the memorial service in honour of the late President Nelson Mandela takes place. There are also protests in Bogota after the city's mayor is summarily sacked - and Canada tries to claim the north pole for itself.
