The focus of our 'With Words Added' feature is on 'Apache' by Sonny James - a hit back in 1961. After topping the American charts in 1966, Sonny struggled to sustain his success and left Capitol to sign with RCA instead. In his first session for the label, he recorded this vocal version of The Shadows' classic instrumental hit which peaked at no.87 in the Hot 100 chart.
Brian will be playing the hits and the flops, and telling the tales behind the songs.
