More than 150,000 homes have been left without power in southern England as storms move toward the Northern Ireland and Scotland.
More than 150 thousand homes are without power in Southern England. Alan Turing, the man who cracked German communication codes during the Second World War, has been given a posthumous royal pardon. He was convicted of being gay in 1952, and chemically castrated. The justice secretary, Chris Grayling, helped secure the pardon.
