British-Asian views on immigration
Naresh Puri sits in asking if it is wrong to oppose immigration if you are British-Asian, plus we hear from the founders of a matrimonial website aimed at people with HIV.
This morning at 10, Naresh Puri is asking, is it wrong to oppose immigration if you're British Asian? New research released today shows that more people than ever, including first and second generation immigrants, people like our parents , are opposed to further immigration to the UK. If your parents or grandparents came here in the 60s, 70s or 80s, do you want immigration to the UK stopped? Do you think that's a bit hypocritical? Or should we go out of our way to welcome new immigrants to the UK because we understand the problems they face? After 11, Naresh speaks to Anand Shinde, the founder of Positive Saathi, a matrimonial website for people with HIV. And after midday, do you think Indian tourists are a pain to deal with?
