Johnnie celebrates Joan Armatrading's 1979 live LP, Steppin' Out, and journalist Simon Calder remembers the decade.

Johnnie Walker celebrates the decade of Carly Simon, The Clash and Curtis Mayfield.

This week, the Grammy-nominated singer Joan Armatrading will be celebrated as Johnnie plays tracks from her 1979 live album Steppin' Out. Recording on her North American tour of the same year, the album showcases her voice at its finest and includes songs such as "Love And Affection" and "Mama Mercy". Johnnie will tell the story of both the album and Armatrading's work in the decade as he shines a spotlight on one of Britain's finest voices.

Also on the show the travel journalist Simon Calder will remember the decade in the My 70s feature, telling the story of how travel evolved and many Brits managed to get abroad for the first time.

A moment from the seventies will be revisited courtesy of the 大象传媒 archive, and another all-time great single will be loaded into Johnnie's Jukebox.
