Janice hears about Comedy in the Dark, a comedy night set up by the RNIB featuring one of Scotland's only blind comedians, and takes a look at the Glasgow Youth Film Festival.
Comedy in the Dark is a brand new comedy night at Electric Circus in Edinburgh this week. Set up by the RNIB the line-up includes Jojo Sutherland and Neil Skenes one of Scotland's only blind stand-up comedians. We take a closer look at the Glasgow Youth Film Festival programme curated entirely by 15-18 year olds which tackles the burning issues for teenagers today and we hear from two of the young people who have put together the programme. Bruce Munro brings Field of Light to St Andrew Square in Edinburgh this week. His light exhibit made up of over 9000tiny stems of light will illuminate the darkness for the next few months. Scottish Opera presents Donizetti's comic classic Don Pasquale about an elderly man who owns a dilapidated hotel and leaves the running of the place to his nephew and staff. Janice talks to Aldo Di Toro and Nicholas Lester who star in the production. Plus authors Anna Hope and Adele Parks examine the impact of WW1 on women in their new novels Wake and Spare Brides.
