The Radio 2 Young Brass Award Semi-Final. Eight players perform with Foden's Band and conductor Michael Fowles for a place in the final - Frank Renton has the music and comment.
The Radio 2 Young Brass Award is our nationwide competition to find the next brass star, and it's reached the Semi-Final stage. Tonight we hear the 8 talented young players as they recorded a 10 minute programme with the Foden's Band and conductor Michael Fowles a few days ago. Frank Renton has all the music and comment and will announce the names of the 4 players the judges have selected to go through to final of the competition which will be broadcast live on March 28th.
