Andrew Muir has written his first play for radio as part of our series of short plays on the theme of ‘Love and Hate.’, produced with the ´óÏó´«Ã½ Writers Room. ‘A Perfect Non Starter’ is a love story set in a fairground - two people from different worlds share a nightime ride that will stay with them forever. Andrew explains what attracted him to the image of a ferris wheel.

Steven Camden

Steven Camden has previously appeared on The Verb as the performance poet Polar Bear. Performing was something that Steven fell into, but he always intended to write a novel. He makes his debut with Tape, a story of two young people separated by 20 years, and connected by recordings on a cassette tape. Steven tells Ian how he wanted to tell a story which illustrates how small things we do can have big consequences.

We look at the confusion surrounding signing off modern electronic communication, and ask whether we can learn from the way Darwin ended his letters.
