Scottish League Cup Semi-Final - Heart of Midlothian v Inverness Caledonian Thistle
The Scottish League Cup semi-final between Heart of Midlothian and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Plus highlights of Aberdeen v St Johnstone.
Kick-off is at 12.15pm, and the action comes from Easter Road Stadium, Edinburgh.
A place in the first major final of 2014 is at stake in a repeat of last season's League Cup semi-final. The Tynecastle side defeated the Highlanders 5-4 on penalties at the same venue twelve months ago. Hearts went on to lose in the final against St Mirren so they will be hoping to go one better this time and go on to lift a trophy they last won in 1962. In this season's competition, Gary Locke's side knocked out Edinburgh rivals Hibs in the last round courtesy of a Ryan Stevenson goal. Caley Thistle, now managed by John Hughes, have never reached a major final since the club was founded in 1994. They overcame Dundee Utd in a 2-1 extra-time win in their quarter-final with Terry Butcher still in the dugout - he has since left to manage Hibs. Inverness have the upper hand in Scottish Premiership meetings so far this term having won both encounters two-nil.
Plus highlights from yesterday's semi-final between Aberdeen and St Johnstone at half-time.
