Last month we reported that Belfast City Council had been granted powers to confiscate and destroy substances they believe to be so-called 'legal highs'.
We have been contacted by a mother whose son is using legal highs while hanging around Belfast City centre. Kate, which is not her real name, says her 17-year-old son has been using the psychoactive drugs for a year now, despite getting him help, he can't stop using them.

Delays to NI farmers receiving Single Farm Payments
382 Farmers in Northern Ireland are still waiting on their Single Farm payment. The payments started on the 1st of December - and with hundreds of thousands still waiting to be paid, large areas of the country are being effected, with the delay having a knock-on impact on suppliers and businesses in the surrounding areas.
