On the eve of the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, Mark Pougatch examines how survivors and witnesses were affected by the events of that day which resulted in the death of 96 Liverpool fans.
Since then, many have also suffered from depression, post-traumatic stress, and there are at least three cases of suicide which have been linked to the disaster.
Mark hears from those who survived the crush in the Leppings Lane End. He also speaks to the mother of a Nottingham Forest fan who watched on with horror from a different stand, later suffered a nervous breakdown, and ended up taking his own life in 2006.
