Top chefs compete to cook at a banquet marking the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The three chefs from north west attempt to impress with their starter courses.
This time three of the north west's best chefs - returning contender Mary Ellen McTague, Jason Atherton's prot茅g茅 James Durrant and ambitious new chef Mark Ellis - battle it out for a place at the finals. The chefs must do everything they can to impress the surprise veteran judge who will be scoring their dishes, and they are each drawing on personal inspiration. It is Mary Ellen's second attempt in the competition but with two determined newcomers out to stop her, will her first course fall flat?
