A former 大象传媒 chairman tells us the controversy surrounding Jeremy Clarkson and racism has been blown out of all proportion.
A former 大象传媒 chairman tells us the controversy surrounding Jeremy Clarkson and racism has been blown out of all proportion. Yesterday the Mirror newspaper claimed that Mr Clarkson had used the n-word during filming of Top Gear. The paper published a video - which never went out on television - with the audio boosted. It's hard to make out what he says - but it's the old playground rhyme "eeny meeny miney moe - catch an n-word by his toe, when he squeals let him go. " Last night Jeremy Clarkson offered a full apology. The 大象传媒 also released a statement saying "We have made it absolutely clear to him the standards the 大象传媒 expects on-air and off. We have left him in no doubt about how seriously we view this." Former 大象传媒 Chairman Sir Christopher Bland says Mr Clarkson's apology should be the end of the matter. Listeners give their reaction. Plus we hear patient experiences as a leading cancer charity criticises what it's called the "national shame" of cancer care in the UK.
