Episode 4

Bob Harris continues his series reflecting on his lifelong love affair with music and his interest in and knowledge of both its historical roots and contemporary influences.

The Bob Harris Music Library throws open its doors for a series of programmes that mixes personal favourites with influential tracks; reflecting not only Bob's life-long love affair with music but also his interest and knowledge in both its historical roots and contemporary influences.

In this series, Bob will bring together not only music from his nigh-on 45 years in radio, but he will also be making connections across the decades and across musical genre's, building a playlist of cornerstone releases that have helped shape the sound of music as we here it today. In an age where we like to neatly fit music into genres, this series will show how blurred the edges of those musical category boxes can actually be.
