Episode 19
The cookery competition continues with the first of the semi-finals, as the six remaining contestants head to east London to cook lunch for the cast and crew of EastEnders.
It's the first of the semi-finals.
The six remaining contestants head to east London for a catering challenge they will never forget - to cook lunch for 120 members of the cast and crew of EastEnders in Albert Square itself. Timings in this challenge are key; with the EastEnders crew filming up to 30 scenes each day, they have strictly one hour for lunch so the food cannot be late.
The six cooks are divided into two teams, and each must serve 60 main courses and 60 desserts. For the first time, the competitors have to work together to run their own kitchens in specially constructed tents in Albert Square itself, under their nominated team leader.
As they cook in the shadow of the Queen Vic, in their most pressurised conditions yet, will they be able to rise to the challenge? Or will they suffer the displeasure of some of the most recognisable faces on TV?
Then it's back to the MasterChef kitchen, where each of the amateur cooks now have an hour and ten minutes to cook their own refined dish to wow John and Gregg. They are fighting for their place in the competition, because after this one of them will go home.
In a competition where only the food matters, these amateurs will now need to be exceptional to survive - taking another precious step towards being crowned MasterChef Champion 2014.
