Nihal asks whether Britain has been too soft on dealing with religious extremists like Abu Hamza, plus Minu Bakshi tells Nihal about her new anthology of Urdu poetry.

At 10, has Britain been too soft on dealing with religious extremists like Abu Hamza? Last night in New York, a court found Abu Hamza guilty of supporting terrorist organisations. He's now facing life in prison in the States even though he was based here in Britain.

It took many many years to extradite him over there and the Home Secretary has welcomed the conviction. But should he have been tried here a long time ago and would that have sent out a strong message that Britain won't tolerate this kind of radicalism? Is he the last of a dying breed or are radical preachers still operating in this country? And what does it say about Britain that he didn't face more charges here?

After 11, Nihal will be speaking to author Ian Rutledge about his new book Enemy on the Euphrates - The British Occupation of Iraq and the Great Arab Revolt 1914 - 1921. But how much do you know about the most serious armed uprising against British rule in the twentieth century?

Later in the show, Minu Bakshi, a classically trained singer, poet, academic and philanthropist will be talking to Nihal about her new anthology of Urdu poetry. But what's the most beautiful South Asian language? And can British Asians ever appreciate art forms like Ghazals and Qawali?
