It is an emotional and dramatic day for the Beales as they pay their final respects to Lucy.
After receiving some shocking news, a furious Phil takes matters into his own hands.
After taking drastic action, Mick forces some home truths to be revealed.

Synopsis
He also tells Max that he鈥檚 concerned his eulogy may not be right and asks him to read over it. Max is reluctant, but has a look and says it captures her well from what he knew of her.聽 Max tells him to think of his beautiful daughter when speaking about her and gives him back the speech.聽 Peter meets Lauren in the Square who tells him that his friends wanted to do something for Lucy;聽 Johnny, Abi, Tamwar, Whitney, Dexter, Lola and Jay are each holding a rose and Abi explains they want to put them on the coffin. Jay asks Phil if it would be ok for Abi to stay for a bit. Phil questions why 鈥 asking if she鈥檚 pregnant 鈥 which prompts Jay to tell him the truth 鈥 Max was sleeping with Lucy.
Phil leaves the house and finds Ian outside Max鈥檚 house.聽 He tells Ian about Max and Lucy.聽 Ian reels in shock. Phil offers to deal with Max at the church but Ian asks him not to as he wants nothing to spoil the day. He鈥檚 surprised when Cindy arrives and asks if the baby is okay. Cindy wants to talk to him about Good Friday.聽 She鈥檚 dressed colourfully and Ian insists she change into something black. She insists she chose the outfit specially for Lucy and assures Ian that she won鈥檛 blab about his alibi, as Sharon passes. At the church, Jay reveals to Abi that Phil knows about Max and Lucy.
Peter is too upset to carry the coffin so Lauren heads back in to the church and asks Max to take Peter鈥檚 place.聽 The funeral procession enters the church, led by Tim Stevens. Ian鈥檚 appalled on seeing Max carrying Lucy鈥檚 coffin and shouts at Max to get his hands off of his daughter. Ian grabs Max and pulls him away from the coffin. He urges Max to tell Peter what鈥檚 going on and Peter realises Max was sleeping with Lucy.聽 Ian and Peter follow Max out of the church, watched by Jane who has arrived and is sat in her car. Ian goes for Max, telling him that he had trusted him. Max tries apologise, and heads home. Jane comforts Ian, managing to get him back inside the church. Ian gets up to give the eulogy.聽 He takes out his prepared speech and tries his hardest to start his talk 鈥 but breaks down when he admits he hardly knew his daughter.
Peter volunteers to take over and gives an emotional speech, saying goodbye to Lucy, telling her that he loves her.聽 Ian and Jane sit outside the church and he tells her that he feels he鈥檚 ruined Lucy鈥檚 perfect send-off.聽 Jane counsels him, telling him that he did his best. Ian reminisces about when they were all together as a family and says he鈥檇 give anything to go back to that time. Jane tells him he can鈥檛 go back, leading Ian to confess to Jane that he loves her. Ian asks Jane if she loves him and she admits she does but that it鈥檚 too messy to act on. In church, Tamwar finds a condolence card on the floor that says 鈥淩ot in hell鈥, and pockets it.
Ian returns to the church and goes up to the coffin.聽 He talks to Lucy and says he鈥檚 sorry.聽 Peter finds Ian in the church and tells him
it鈥檚 time for the committal. Peter tells Lauren to perform her reading,
challenged by Lola who asks why, given what Max has done.聽 Lauren proceeds and Lucy鈥檚 coffin is lowered
in to the ground.聽 Meanwhile, Masood finds
Jane in her car and joins her.聽 She
apologises for how she has acted and places a hand on Masood鈥檚 knee. He gently
removes it and tells her to take care of herself. Later, at the wake at the
Vic, Carol and David join Bianca and Sonia who tell Carol that Max was sleeping
with Lucy.聽 Phil and Alfie turn up at
Max鈥檚 house.聽 Phil tells him that he鈥檚 no
longer welcome in the Vic, Caf茅, Minute Mart, Launderette, Chippy or Arches 鈥
Max isn鈥檛 one of them anymore.聽
Les organises the mourners鈥 travel arrangements for the funeral 鈥揅hristian offers to take a cab but Patrick insists that he will take one instead. Denise says she鈥檒l go with Libby and Patrick.聽 When they pull up at the church and see Ian being comforted by Jane, Libby tells the driver to turn around and take them home. After missing the funeral, Denise tells Libby and Patrick that she has to tell Ian how she really feels, or she never will.聽 When Ian arrives home, Denise apologises and tells him the cab was late and that she didn鈥檛 mean to miss the service.
She admits it鈥檚 a horrible time for him and says she saw him outside the church with Jane.聽 He realises what she鈥檚 about to say and she urges him to be honest with her. She says that he hasn鈥檛 wanted her for a long time - he argues that he does want her and holds her tightly. Later, Denise tells Libby she鈥檚 certain she can help Ian; Libby reminds her Denise felt the same way about her dad, Owen鈥
Mick hasn鈥檛 slept well and confides his suspicions to Linda that Tina and Stan鈥檚 stories don鈥檛 match.聽 When Dean encounters Patrick in the Square gardens, he apologises for saying Sean attacked him years ago. Patrick thinks it鈥檚 never too late. Dean heads to the Vic and finds Stan and Mick - Stan offers to find Shirley for Dean. Nervous, Shirley comes downstairs and she and Dean talk. Things are going well when Shirley learns from Linda that Mick suspects Stan of lying to him.
Dean鈥檚 irked as Shirley seems distracted and apologises for boring her.聽 Dean鈥檚 leaving when Stan tells him that if he goes now, Dean will never see him again 鈥 he鈥檚 dying. Mick鈥檚 stunned but Dean knows Stan鈥檚 having them on and storms out.聽 Later, Shirley berates Stan for mentioning anything to Mick - Mick鈥檚 been talking to Tina and knows Stan鈥檚 lying.聽 Stan insists she stop panicking. Later, Mick confronts Stan 鈥 he鈥檚 knows Stan鈥檚 lying - and accuses Stan of trying to drown him when he was a baby.聽 Stan maintains that it was his mother, but Mick insists Tina remembers Mick in A&E covered in red paint; the paint Stan used after their mum left. Mick tells Stan to leave; he鈥檚 surprised when Shirley sticks up for Stan.
Later, Mick finds Stan packing in the living room. Stan pleads with Shirley to say something. Enraged, Mick marches Stan to the bathroom. Shirley desperately pounds on the door as the water鈥檚 turned on. Shirley forces open the bathroom door to find Mick holding a spluttering Stan over the bath, showering him aggressively.聽 Shirley screams at Mick to stop 鈥 it wasn鈥檛 Stan who tried to drown him, it was her.
Linda worries that Johnny鈥檚 not up to being a pall bearer. Later, Whitney鈥檚 keen to leave the wake to go to a club. Still awkward around Linda, Johnny鈥檚 reluctant but Linda insists Johnny can do what he likes 鈥 keep the details to himself. Surprised, Johnny heads off with Whitney. Later, Linda tells Nancy she just wants her babies to be happy.
Carol tells Bianca and David that she鈥檚 managed to persuade Dot to not attend the funeral as it鈥檚 so soon after Nick鈥檚. David finds 鈥渢oday鈥 written on Carol鈥檚 calendar. She tries to lie that it鈥檚 something to do with the kids but he realises it鈥檚 a chemo session.聽 She wants to put it off because of the funeral but David disagrees, telling her that she can鈥檛 afford to miss the session.
