The Doric String Quartet perform Haydn and Janacek at the Hay Festival.

The Doric String Quartet return to Hay-on-Wye to perform at St Mary's Church. Haydn was known as the "father of the string quartet", and his "Sunrise" quartet, one of a set of six quartets which became best-sellers during the composer's lifetime, is included in the concert. Also performed in the concert is Jan谩cek's "Intimate Letters" quartet, also known as "Love Letters", and inspired by his feelings for Kamila St枚sslov谩.
