Twelve months ago four-time winner Lleyton Hewitt rolled back the years at this stage of the competition as he defeated the former US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro to reach the semi-finals.
The eventual champion Andy Murray claimed a straight-sets victory over German Benjamin Becker as he made serene progress to the semi-finals of the tournament without dropping a set.
