Last night's 大象传媒 Prom when the London Symphony Chorus and Orchestra and Valery Gergiev performed Janacek's Glagolitic Mass. And before that, Barry Douglas joined the LSO for Brahms's First Piano Concerto.

One of choral music's greatest works, Jan谩cek's Glagolitic Mass is a passionate outpouring of love for the world of nature. By contrast, conflict is to the fore in Brahms's Piano Concerto No.1, a work that distils the drama of the composer's relationship with Schumann and his wife Clara. Valery Gergiev conducts the London Symphony Orchestra, with soloist Barry Douglas.
