Some shocking home truths are revealed about Charlie. Emma Summerhayes makes an arrest but will she regret her actions? Lauren isn't impressed when she sees Dean's true colours.

Max is smug, hopeful that Charlie’s about to get what he deserves. Dot’s pleased to see Charlie, her sink’s blocked again and he’s going to take the jumble to the church hall. Dot’s touched when Charlie gives her a pair of earrings. Outside, DC Emma Summerhayes attempts to arrest Charlie for impersonating a police officer. Charlie claims he’s a Special Ops DC and Summerhayes is rattled when he brings up Max. They go for a drive and Charlie reveals he knows she’s having an affair with Max –a suspect in a murder investigation- and tells her to end it now or he’ll have a word with her superior. Later Summerhayes visits Max and tells him Charlie is a police officer and knows about them and insists she can’t see him again. Meanwhile, Charlie’s at the Cherry Brook Care Home being told off by his mother, Yvonne. They both work there – she runs the place and Charlie’s the caretaker. Later, Yvonne reveals £500 belonging to one of the residents has been stolen and she thinks Charlie’s father took it. She’s had funny phone calls and thought someone followed her home. Yvonne’s furious when Charlie says it was him that took the money. When Yvonne realises that Dot still thinks Charlie’s a police officer she tells him he should stop lying and stop seeing Dot – what if his dad finds out? Charlie agrees to work double shifts to pay back the resident’s money and tells Yvonne not to worry, his dad’s out of their lives and isn’t going to hurt them anymore. However, Charlie then finds his car windows smashed and gets a text from ‘Dad’ which reads ‘Nice car’. C/H

Lola takes her bad mood about Jay moving away out on Peter. Ian reminds Peter that Lola loves him and that the last few months haven’t been easy for any of them. Peter asks Lauren to cheer him up and suggests lunch. He’s not happy when she reveals she’s having lunch at the Vic with Dean, their first official date and hopefully the first of many. Peter then suggests to Lola that they have lunch at the Vic. During his date, Dean pointedly mentions to Linda how beautiful Lauren is. Dean questions why Lauren’s only drinking lemonade and she admits she’s had problems in the past. Peter keeps an eye on Lauren and Dean. Lola’s enjoying being out with Peter; she’s pleased Lauren and Dean are on a date even though she doesn’t like Dean because he wouldn’t give her a job. Peter persuades Lola to ask Dean again, he’d look bad if he said no in front of Lauren. Dean’s dismissive of Lola and Peter storms over, angry, asking Lauren if this is really the guy she wants to spend her time with? Lauren leaves, telling Dean he shouldn’t speak to people like that.

Ian’s found a few potential care homes and tells Denise not to worry about the cost. He’s keen to start visiting them but Denise is hesitant. Linda starts shopping in the Minute Mart again and asks after Patrick. Denise presents Shabnam with a box of chocolates and apologises for taking her for granted. Denise doesn’t want Patrick to be in a home long term but worries that he’ll give up once he’s there. Denise writes a list of questions for the care homes but tells Shabnam it feels wrong - this should be Patrick’s decision. She worries that finding a home with the right care might mean Patrick being miles away. Denise wants to visit him every day; Shabnam’s sympathetic and tells her not to worry about the Minute Mart. Back home, Denise tells Ian to make appointments to visit the homes.

Lee’s out jogging and tells Dean it helps him focus. Lee’s confused by Whitney’s mixed messages, Dean advises him to talk to her. Whitney admits to Lauren she bottled it with Lee. Lee assures her if he just wanted sex he’d have given up ages ago but he likes her a lot. He tells her his ambition is to be like his mum and dad - marry young, have kids, never look at anybody else. If she wants to wait that’s fine. Reassured, Whitney kisses him and leads him upstairs. Later, Whitney’s shocked when she unexpectedly gets a text from Ryan.
