Guerilla Science
The Guerilla Scientists want to connect people with science in new ways - and they’ll use the most extraordinary methods: with a brain made of jelly, by sniffing sweaty t-shirts to find the perfect partner, plaster casts of private parts and a dinner made of dirt.Ìý

In this week’s programme Adam is in conversation with the Jen Wong and Louis Buckley from Guerilla Science. Their manifesto is to create live experiences which entertain, inspire and amaze and for the last six years they’ve been taking their interactive shows to music festivals, museums, galleries and many other venues. This week, as they bring their show The Universe Inside Your Head to Festival No. 6 in Portmeirion, Adam talks to Jen and Louis about challenging and even shocking audiences and taking them to the edge of science. And they consider the connection between art and science.

Adam also talks to Guerilla Scientist Zoe Cormier about her new book Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll, which explores the science of hedonism – and the hedonism of science. She talks about what makes human sexuality so different from that of other species, the drug-fuelled scientific career of Alexander Shulgin and what happens in your brain when you listen to music.
