Alan Hemming, a British hostage in Syria thought his detention was "a misunderstanding" according to a Dutch journalist who interviewed a man who was held by the same group. The President of the International Cycling Union has branded a cycling team's kit which made the female riders appear to look naked as "unacceptable by any standard of decency".
