The Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert's flagship series of live broadcasts from London's Wigmore Hall returns for its 17th season, kicking off with a visit by one of the most dazzling virtuosos on the world stage today, Canadian pianist Marc-Andr茅 Hamelin. His programme offers Schubert's four poetic Impromptus, D935, and five Chopin Studies in the fiendishly difficult but also supremely imaginative reworkings for left hand alone by the great early 20th-century virtuoso, Leopold Godowsky.
