´óÏó´«Ã½ Proms In The Park At The Titanic Slipways

´óÏó´«Ã½ Proms in the Park in Northern Ireland is in its 13th year and all tickets for the free event at the Titanic Slipways have been allocated.

SaturdayÌýnight’s event is set to be the biggest ever with an audience of 11,000 people.

Tenor Alfie Boe will take centre stage and joins a star-studded line-up of international and home-grown talent, who will perform alongside the Ulster Orchestra under the baton of David Brophy.ÌýÌýÌý

Also on stage will be ‘Strictly’ couple Anton du Beke and Erin Boag, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Amy Dickson, virtuoso violinist Kirill Troussov and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Young Musician 2014 winner Martin James Bartlett.

JazzÌýsinger Dana MastersÌýwill be accompanied on stage by some of Northern Ireland’s finest jazz musicians. The event is part of the ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Last Night of the Proms celebrations as once again Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England host live events to mark the end of the world's largest classical music festival.ÌýÌýÌý

´óÏó´«Ã½ Proms in the Park from the Titanic Slipways, Belfast, is hosted by ´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland’s Noel Thompson and Claire McCollum and is supported by Belfast City Council.ÌýÌýÌý

Extracts from Northern Ireland will be carried nationally across ´óÏó´«Ã½ One and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two on the night.

Viewers may also choose to watch the entire Belfast concert online at bbc.co.uk/proms.

Further extracts will be carried on the ´óÏó´«Ã½ red button, and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Ulster will also be live on the night with presenter John Toal from 7.30pm.Ìý ´óÏó´«Ã½ Northern Ireland and ´óÏó´«Ã½ Four will both broadcast television highlights programmes of the event later in the year.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

For those attending the concert, access to the Titanic Slipways will be from 5.30pm on Saturday, September 13. As this is an outdoor event, audiences are advised to dress for the weather. ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý

For those using public transport, train and bus services will operate as normal. For those driving to the event there will be clear car parking signage within the Titanic Quarter and on approach roads and Queens Road.

Car parking will be available in the Titanic Belfast basement car park, Titanic surface car parks and the Belfast Met basement car cark.
