Federation of the Disco Pimp in session
Craig Charles has a session from Scottish modern funk band Federation of the Disco Pimp.
The Federation of The Disco Pimp will be in session on tonight's show. They're Scotland's number 1 export of modern funk and they've been laying down unstoppable grooves since 2010. Combining elements of Old-School Funk, Disco, Psychedelic and Jazz, this 7-piece band of Scots are legendary for their endless energy and blistering live sets. At 8pm Craig goes into the mix for 30 minutes of dance floor friendly funk. Craig hands 15 minutes of the show over to a 6 Music listener to pick their top 3 funk and soul tunes in The Spinage au Trois. In the History of Women In Funk & Soul we celebrate an R&B / soul family act from Atlanta, Georgia, active from 1953 - 1989. We will be celebrating Gladys Knight & The Family Pips.
