#Warp6Music - help create a 25th-anniversary playlist

Tom Robinson celebrates the 25th anniversary of Warp Records by inviting 6 Music listeners to create a playlist honouring the pioneering independent label.

Tom Robinson celebrates the 25th anniversary of Warp Records by inviting 6 Music listeners to create a playlist honouring the pioneering independent label.

Warp was founded in Sheffield in 1989 by Steve Beckett and the late Rob Mitchell, and credited with discovering experimental electronic artists.

As well as signature acts such as Aphex Twin, Square Pusher, Nightmares on Wax and Mira Calix, Warp's roster has also included Mount Kimbie, Maximo Park, Boards of Canada and the latest Eno/Hyde project.

As the label wraps up a series of 25th anniversary gigs, listeners are invited to pick two hours of music featuring their favourite Warp signings or any other interesting links to the label.

Suggestions can be sent by Twitter via #Warp6Music, posting on the show blog or the 6 Music or Now Playing Facebook pages, dragging tracks onto our collaborative Spotify or Rdio playlists, or the usual live show contact methods.
