Tom Robinson talks to Swiss musician, conceptual artist and industrialist Dieter Meier about his career to date and the release of his first solo album.

Tom has a fascinating and revealing chat with Swiss musician, conceptual artist and industrialist Dieter Meier, covering his career to date and the release of his first solo album.

Dieter tells the full story of how he was almost arrested for buying and selling yes's and no's for a dollar each on the streets of New York in the early 70's and how this garnered him attention in the New York art circles and press. He moves through his career with Yello, including their early 'launch' gig in New York where they were supported by Afrika Bambaataa and the whole crowd were expecting a black avant-garde duo from the West coast! He talks about the motivation for his work and how everything he does is fused by the concept to 'become like children'. He guides us through his career, including his industrialist pursuits, up to the making of his recently released debut solo album Out Of Chaos. He is 69.
