Further Information:
With over 10,000 Hindus in Wales, this is a thriving community, with vary varied beliefs and customs. Mary’s investigation takes her to two different temples in Cardiff, and even gets her on to the dance floor, joining in the traditional autumn dance ritual of ‘gurba’. She meets some dancing spinal surgeons, and braves a dental surgery to meet a woman who, besides her expertise with the drill, also officiates at Diwali as a priest. And she visits the private shrine of one Cardiff woman, who worships at home.
