He was the fast bowler with the trademark handlebar moustache and a fierce glare who would often subject batsmen to a volley of wisecracks or outright abuse, also known as sledging. It hasn't gone away either; in the most recent series against England the Australian captain, Michael Clarke, was penalised after threatening to break the arm of an opponent.
