The Silver Line
It's been a year since the launch of the Silver Line, the first confidential helpline for older people.
In that time it has taken nearly 300,000 calls, including 30,000 from Wales. The majority of the callers are in their 70s and 80s and telephone because they often have no one else to talk to.
One of those who uses the service is Chris from Llandudno. Through the Silver Line he now speaks to Nicky once a week, which has made a big difference to his life.
This week Eye on Wales hears from some of the people behind the service - and those who use it - to find out why for older people it really is good to talk.
