Further Information:
Roy Jenkins presents the annual film review programme. There are two biopics of very different sorts – one tells the extraordinary life of Neil Baldwin, a man who refused to accept the label of learning difficulties, and the other that of Nelson Mandela. We also discuss a black comedy set in rural Ireland that explores the Catholic Church’s history of child abuse and the mistrust that remains. And of course, our panel of guests have also suggested a film themselves that has had an impact on them over the last year.
Joining Roy are:
Sally Humble-Jackson – the driving force behind Christmas: The Story, now in its fifth season
Angela Graham – a television and film producer
Andrew Morton – retired Anglican priest in Monmouthshire, who now spends his time making and composing music
The Films discussed are: Marvellous (Cert 12), Mandel: Long Walk to Freedom (Cert 12) and Calvary (Cert 15)
And our guests’ choices: The Railway Man (Cert 15), American Interior (Cert 12) and Pride (Cert 15)
