Jermain Jackman, winner of ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s The Voice 2014, joins in to lend a hand and the choir perform their very own, 'The King’s School Carol'. Luke, Louise & Morgan Tapp – Relatives of Private William Tapp
They comment on the diary of Private William Tapp. Private William Tapp was a soldier for the Royal Warwickshire Regiment from Birmingham who wrote a diary account of his experiences during the Christmas truce of 1914. He was killed in the Second Battle of Ypres and his death is commemorated at the Menin Gate.
Alan Reed – World War One Historian
Alan Reed has co-written a book with Andrew Hamilton: . The book features a collection of short biographies of 50 soldiers (and a nurse) who were tragically killed in the Great War. In a novel approach to honouring the centenary of the Great War, Andrew Hamilton and Alan Reed have compiled informative and compassionate tributes to personalities whose stories provide a detailed snapshot of society before the outbreak of war and the horrors of life at the Front.
The King’s Men
David Grant meets members of The Kings Men - the choral scholars from the choir of King's College, Cambridge. They share their thoughts on being part of the world famous Carols From King's broadcast – 60-years-old this year – and David gets to join them singing a fun, seasonal song.
