First in series. The popular travel series returns with a brand new presenting team as Joe Lindsay is joined on his travels by writer and broadcaster Angela Scanlon. The series features holiday destinations you can reach directly from Ireland and each episode includes viewer's tips, recommendations and advice. In this programme, Joe and Angela report from San Francisco, taking advantage of a new direct flight from Dublin. Highlights include a seaplane flight over the Golden Gate Bridge, a GoCar Tour exploring the city's famous zigzag streets, hunting out the world's best vintage shopping opportunities and of course, the old favourites, the sea lions at Pier 39. Joe also takes a short getaway to Clare Island off the west coast, where he finds a raft race in progress, tries his luck on a handloom and checks out the rooms in a rather smart lighthouse.
