Des Clarke talks to Andy Cameron about life growing up in a housing scheme in Rutherglen and how he later went on to become one of Scotland's top comedians. Andy speaks about tenement life in the 1940's. He has clear memories of when electricity was installed into the family home on Bouverie Street. Andy also talks about his lucky break into show business after a comedy gig at the Cambusnethan Miners Welfare club and how he's still performing today, 45 years on.
