Liz Kershaw chats to Rod Jones, guitarist and founder member of Idlewild, about the band's recently released seventh album, Everything Ever Written.

Liz chats to Rod Jones, guitarist and founder member of Idlewild. They recently released their 7th studio album Everything Ever Written after a 6 year gap. The Edinburgh based 5 piece formed in 1995 and have undergone several line up changes, though the core of Rod, frontman Roddy Woomble and drummer Colin Newton have remained throughout. They enjoyed their biggest success in 2002 with the top 3 album The Remote Part. In 2010 they went on hiatus and started writing together again in 2013, which eventually led to the new album.

Liz also gives listeners the chance to show-off their musical knowledge with themed tune suggestions and chats to a listener about their favourite album in All Killer No Filler, which this week comes from ABC.
