Music 'til Midnight - the best in easy listening sounds and timeless standards performed by the greatest artists from the past 60 years including Vic Damone, Anita O'Day, Donny Hathaway and Matt Monro with instrumental sounds from trumpeter Clark Terry and arranger Quincy Jones. This week's featured album has been chosen to mark the centenary of singer Billie Holiday's birth on the 7th of April 1915. Recorded for MGM Records in March 1959, just 4 months before her premature death aged only 44, Lady Day's final sessions with arranger Ray Ellis were released later that year and simply entitled 'Last Recording'. Although physically frail, her spirit remained strong, something that is immediately obvious when listening to this collection of standards which include Deed I Do, There'll Be Some Changes Made and Just One More Chance.
