Why more couples are turning to therapy before their relationship gets rocky. Abstract artist Sonia Delaunay who's being given her first retrospective in Britain at the Tate Modern nearly 40 years after her death and why her work was overshadowed by that of her husband. There's a call for severe sickness in pregnancy to be taken more seriously. With less than three weeks to go before the general election, we hear from our Election Panel on the latest campaigning.

The number of 11-13 year old girls in England who say they have anxiety and low self-esteem has risen by 50 per cent in five years according to a new study. It mean that in an average mixed class of about 30 pupils, three girls will suffer emotional problems. Jane Garvey talks to Dr. Helen Sharpe who was part of the research team at University College London and the Anna Freud Centre about the significance of the team鈥檚 findings and what needs to be done to tackle the problems.听

Severe Pregnancy Sickness
Severe and debilitating pregnancy sickness - Hyperemesis Gravidarum - 听is still not recognised and taken seriously according to the British Pregnancy Advisory Service and Pregnancy Sickness Support.听听 The Thalidomide tragedy continues to cast a shadow over women鈥檚 care and the denial of some of the听 most effective drugs can lead to abortion of wanted pregnancies.
Despite听 awareness of听 the condition through coverage of the Duchess of Cambridge鈥檚 experience听 many women also still feel the decision to terminate is stigmatised and judged by those who feel it is 鈥渏ust鈥 morning sickness, a perception which only adds to the distress of ending a wanted pregnancy.
Jane Garvey talks to Caitlin Dean from Pregnancy Sickness Support about what needs to be done to听 support the thousands of women it affects.

Sonia Delaunay
Sonia Delaunay was French-Jewish painter, designer, and self-made businesswoman. Born in 1885, she pioneered abstract art as something to be lived in, turning everyday items into masterpieces. Despite her success, she has since been overlooked, often overshadowed by her husband and fellow artist Robert Delaunay. Nearly 40 years after her death she is being given her first retrospective in Britain, at the . Jane talks to the curator of the exhibition, Juliet Bingham, about the life of Sonia Delaunay and why she deserves the attention.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy typically happens when a relationship starts to break down. Marriage counselling is expected if a couple is having serious problems and wants to resolve them - not if they are happy and have just started dating. As more marriages end in divorce and more people have individual therapy there has been an increase in the number of couples who want 鈥榬elationship classes鈥 in order to boost their chances of staying together, manage conflict and communicate better.听 Professor Janet Reibstein, Visiting Professor in Psychology at University of Exeter, and the author and journalist Daisy Buchanan, join Jane to discuss whether having therapy so early on in a relationship is looking for trouble and potentially harmful or the secret to a successful marriage.
