Music 'til Midnight - the best in easy listening sounds and timeless standards performed by the greatest artists from the past 60 years including Aretha Franklin, Astrud Gilberto, Gregory Porter and Eddie Jefferson plus instrumental classics from saxophonist Paul Desmond and Henry Mancini. This week's featured album is The Real Ambassadors. Written by the husband and wife team of Dave and Iola Brubeck, this was the soundtrack for a musical developed in the late 1950's and based on the experiences of jazz musicians who had visited far flung parts of the world at the behest of the US State Department. Now regarded as a classic the featured performers include Dave Brubeck, Louis Armstrong, Carmen McRae and vocal trio Lambert, Hendricks & Ross.
