Rob Cowan presents many and varied waltzes, by composers ranging from Max Reger to Oskar Nedbal, but also including such popular masters of the genre as Johann Strauss II and Franz Schubert, plus the lighter touch of Victor Herbert. The Sunday Morning cycle of Mozart Piano Sonatas reaches no 17, K570 in B Flat Major, in an acclaimed historic recording by Artur Schnabel. The programme also includes Symphony No. 5 by Sibelius.
