Tom Robinson chats to London-based Irish musician, singer-songwriter and composer Gemma Hayes, who recently released her fifth studio album, Bones + Longing.

Tom chats to London based Irish musician, singer-songwriter and composer Gemma Hayes. She released her 5th studio album Bones + Longing in March.
She released her critically acclaimed debut 'Night on my Side' in 2002, which was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. After touring this album extensively she took 2 years out of the music industry. She moved from Dublin to LA in 2004. Her 2nd album 'The Roads Don't Love You' appeared in 2005. She won Best Irish Female Artist at the 2006 Irish Music Awards. She's recorded her 3rd and 4th albums at 3 year intervals in 2008 and 2011, and in 2013 moved from LA to London.

At 11 o'clock Tom launches The After Hour, where he dusts off tracks from the outer reaches of his record collection.
