Anna Hill hears from Stephen Tindale, the former head of Greenpeace, who says it is 'morally wrong' not to allow farmers to use GM technology to feed a growing population.
The former head of Greenpeace, Stephen Tindale, says it's now 'morally wrong' not to allow farmers to take advantage of GM technology to feed a growing population. He told 大象传媒 correspondent Tom Heap that farming that relies on pesticides is no longer acceptable, and scientists should be able to develop GM technology. But campaigners say not enough is yet known about its potential harm to the environment and the public.
And the scientists working with farmers to prevent water run-off from fields which takes soil and pesticides with it.
