This week鈥檚 guest is a journalist who dodged bullets in Tiananmen Square, saw the devastation as US planes bombed Tripoli, witnessed scenes of horror in Bosnia, Rwanda, Northern Ireland鈥he list could go on for a very long time.For more than two decades, where the action was, Kate Adie was too, one of the best known faces in broadcasting.

From local radio and regional television, she came to national fame in 1980, reporting live from the Iranian embassy siege in London.听听

She went on to spend fourteen years as the 大象传媒鈥檚 Chief News Correspondent, and since then since she鈥檚 made many programmes and is regular presenter of Radio 4鈥檚 From Our Own Correspondent.听

Kate talks to Roy Jenkins about some of her experiences, her views on faith, and the people she鈥檚 met along the way.
