Gallipoli - Landings
Veterans of the First World War from the Anzac Corps and the British Army recall the chaos and aftermath of the landings at Gallipoli in April 1915. With Dan Snow.
Drawing on sound archive from the Imperial War Museums and the 大象传媒, Dan Snow looks at the experiences of veterans of the First World War who took part in the landings at Anzac Cove and Cape Helles in April 1915. As the first assaults were made, soldiers landed in chaotic conditions, under heavy fire, and those who survived then faced extraordinarily difficult terrain to cross, and there were reports of the sea turning red.
