AbleChildAfrica

AbleChildAfrica works exclusively with, and on behalf of, disabled children in Africa and works to secure equal rights for, and improve the lives of, disabled children and their families.聽 We envision a world in which all disabled children are fully included as equal members of society and are able to achieve their full potential.

With three decades of experience, we understand the needs of disabled children, but our success is only made possible by the kind donations we receive from our supporters.

Dame Evelyn Glennie鈥檚 visit to Kibera

Dame Evelyn Glennie shares her experience of visiting one of our partners in Nairobi, Kenya, last year:

鈥淎s I emerge from the slums and turn the corner I look towards the gates of Little Rock. The new聽 building鈥 is a sanctuary of care and understanding in Kibera鈥 No child is left out.鈥

The new purpose built site for Little Rock Early Childhood Inclusive Education Centre was facilitated by AbleChildAfrica and opened three years ago. The school provides inclusive education in a stimulating, innovative and safe environment.

Providing lifelines with partners in Africa

Providing lifelines with partners in Africa

We have thirty years of experience working with disabled children in Sub Saharan Africa. Today, we help provide direct services, including education, health, employment and sport, and equip all our partners with crucial skills, expertise and resources to change the lives of the disabled children in their communities.

The struggle for equal human rights will be incomplete if the hundreds of millions of disabled children are left behind. We fight for Daniel, and other disabled children across Africa, and support our partners on the ground to influence local decision makers as well as advocate on their behalf at an international level.
