Former members of The Futureheads and Golden Virgins respectively, Dave Hyde and Neil Bassett have moved towards classic rock territory with Hyde & Beast whilst retaining the frenetic energy of their post-punk pasts.
Drummers don't have the best track record when it comes to trading drumsticks for guitar strings, but with latest album Keep Moving, the two drummers comprising Hyde & Beast can take their place alongside Peter Kriss, Ringo Starr and Phil Collins at the vanguard of sticksmen-turned-songwriters.
