General the Lord Dannatt talks to Ade Adepitan about how God saved his life in conflict zones. Plus is the UK right to refuse resettling migrants?

Is the UK right to refuse resettling migrants?

European leaders have agreed to relocate tens of thousands of migrants who have arrived in
Italy and Greece, but Britain has opted out of the deal. The crisis continues as more and more
migrants arrive from North Africa and the Middle East. Should Britain be doing more to help?

Should the focus be on stopping them from trying to cross, or go even further back, by helping
to resolve issues in their home countries? How should we fix this humanitarian crisis that's divided Europe? Alhussein Ahmed, a refugee from Sudan, also shares his story of fleeing his homeland, and the harrowing journey to Britain.

Lord General Richard Dannatt Interview

On Armed Forces Week, former head of the British Army, General Dannatt, tells Ade Adepitan how his life was saved by God more than once on the frontline, and questions where defence cuts will leave Britain in the world.

Is Britain still a world power?

Following from General Dannatt's comments, we explore whether the UK is still a formidable power on the global stage, or has our influence waned over the years? Does a large army matter anymore or should we be concentrating on education, aid and cultural influence instead? Is the future of British influence hard or soft power?

The panel are joined by the founder of the Soft Power Network, Indra Adnan.

Are we ignorant about Islam?

It's the second week of Ramadan, but how much do we know about Britain's biggest minority faith? Should we be better informed about a religion which is thriving in Britain or are concessions towards Muslim culture eroding British identity?

Interactive presenter Tommy Sandhu visits Essex to ask how much Brits really know about Ramadan and Islam.

The panel are joined by Andrea Williams from Christian Concern.
