Sparks sit in
Ron and Russell Mael from art-rock outfit Sparks take over the Sunday Service and rifle through their quirky collection of tracks to soundtrack the afternoon.
Ron and Russell of art-rock outfit Sparks take over the Sunday Service for afternoon.
They'll be spinning everything from the Rice University Marching Owl Band to Miles Davis and on to teenage Japanese metal outfit Babymetal.
Paul Thomson of Franz Ferdinand will also be joining the band to chat about their current collaboration FFS.
Sparks were formed in LA back in 1971 by brothers Ron and Russell Mael. They first hit the UK scene in 1974 with the number two single This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both of Us. They went on to work with legendary synthpop producer Giorgio Moroder on the album No. 1 in Heaven.
They've released 22 albums as Sparks so far and are currently collaborating with Franz Ferdinand under the guise of FFS.
