Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. To celebrate the induction of guitar maker Leo Fender, we hear 'That'll Be The Day' by The Crickets featuring the ringing tone of Buddy Holly's Fender Stratocaster. We also mark the membership of The "5" Royales in the early influence category of the 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame by playing their R&B hit 'Think'. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1951 of Verdine White with 'That's The Way Of The World' by Earth, Wind & Fire. Paul pays tribute to songwriter Michael Masser, who has recently died, by playing the American number one he co-wrote for Diana Ross 'Touch Me In The Morning'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'This Time' by Troy Shondell and a different song with the same title by Waylon Jennings.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays tracks from the biggest selling albums by UK artists in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by The Sex Pistols and Yes. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the 'Billboard' Hot 100. This week's examples are by The Rolling Stones and The Cowsills.

Our R&B number ones are from 1982 and now by Jennifer Holiday and The Weeknd. We hear Country number ones from 1968 and this week by Johnny Cash and Little Big Town. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by Foster The People and Walk The Moon. The number one digital song of the week is 'Cheerleader' by OMI.
