Mary Anne meets founding member of Noise Rock pioneers Sonic Youth, the iconic Kim Gordon.

Alongside bandmates Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo, Gordon formed Sonic Youth in 1981 and her journey has blazed the trail for women in the industry. From making dissonant noise music to raising her family, over the last 3 decades Kim's arresting presence, rebellious attitude and feminist stance has inspired the world and challenged the perceptions of what it means to be 'a girl in a band'. For that we love her.
